John Sisk & Son are looking for proactive, talented Bid Coordinator Graduates to join our 2026 Early Careers Graduate Programme.  

 

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Graduate Bid Coordinator to join our proposals team in Sisk Construction UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is keen to build a career in proposals management / bid writing and gain experience within the construction sector.

In this role, you will support the development and delivery of Sisk’s work winning activities, working closely with the proposals team and technical teams across the business. This role is pivotal in supporting Sisk’s work-winning strategy. You’ll help us secure exciting projects across the UK by producing high-quality, compliant and persuasive proposals. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong organisational and writing skills to the team.

You’ll need to be inquisitive, analytical and self-motivated, with strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.

What we are looking for

Responsibilities

  • Support the proposals team by managing tender timelines, document control and submission processes.
  • Source, collect and coordinate information required to complete bids.
  • Assist in maintaining an up-to-date knowledge Library.
  • Assist in drafting and formatting sections of bids, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Assist the team in preparing/formatting presentations
  • Prepare capability documents following corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards
  • Gather evidence, case studies and statistics to strengthen bid responses.
  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Communicate with internal teams to collect technical input and approvals.

Experience

  • Strong Writing Skills: Ability to write clearly and concisely in British English.
  • Attention to Detail: Spotting errors and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
  • Organisational Skills: Managing deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • IT Proficiency: Comfortable with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ideally Adobe InDesign.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret client requirements and structure responses logically.

Qualifications

  • Proactive & Curious: Keen to learn and take initiative.
  • Team Player: Works well with others and communicates effectively.
  • Resilient Under Pressure: Handles tight deadlines calmly.
  • Interest in Construction/Infrastructure: Understanding or willingness to learn about the industry.

Additional Information

Location: St Albans / London - Occasional travel to other offices or project sites may be required.
