The People Operations Manager is responsible for delivering a high-quality, compliant and efficient People Operations service across all Sisk locations. This includes leading teams based in Dublin and St Albans, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate data management and continuous improvement in the employee experience. The role will also help shape the future of HR service delivery, working closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence. Travel will be required as part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the People Operations teams in Ireland and the UK, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence

  • Oversee operational delivery across Ireland, the UK and Europe, ensuring compliance with employment law, GDPR and EU directives

  • Partner with Payroll to maintain accurate, compliant data flows and timely payroll delivery

  • Drive process simplification, automation and standardisation to improve efficiency and user experience

  • Maintain data integrity across all HR systems and ensure readiness for internal and external audits

  • Deliver accurate workforce data and reporting, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement

  • Oversee all employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, job changes and offboarding

  • Partner with Reward to operationalise pay reviews, bonus cycles and benefits programmes

  • Provide accessible HR support to a geographically dispersed workforce through multiple channels

  • Promote a positive, inclusive and compliant working environment aligned with Sisk’s values

Experience

Required 

  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in HR Operations, including at least 5 years in a management role within a multi-site, multi-jurisdictional organisation
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed teams

  • Expertise in HR operations, data governance and payroll integration across jurisdictions

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice in Ireland, the UK and Europe

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong analytical ability with a focus on data-driven decision making

  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g. AHR, iCIMS) and advanced Excel skills

Desirable 

  • Background in construction, engineering or similar project-based environments

  • Familiarity with process mapping, RACI models and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience within an international or multi-country organisation

Qualifications

Required

  • Degree in HR, Business or related field (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent)

  • CIPD Level 7 or Postgraduate HR qualification

Desirable

  • Continuous improvement or process management certification

  • Training in employment law, data protection or HR analytics
