Sisk is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join our team and support the Data Protection Manager in ensuring compliance with global data protection laws and regulations. This role plays a key part in safeguarding personal data and maintaining the trust of our clients and employees. The successful candidate will contribute to data governance, provide operational support, and help strengthen awareness and accountability across the organisation.
Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining data protection policies, procedures and guidelines in line with GDPR, the AI Act and other applicable frameworks
Support the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) along with requests for rectification, erasure and other data subject rights inquiries
Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) for projects and new initiatives
Maintain accurate records of processing activities (ROPA) through data inventories and mapping of data flows
Assist in the development and delivery of training and awareness programmes to strengthen data protection culture across the business
Support the Data Protection Manager in managing data breaches and security incidents, including documentation and reporting to authorities where required
Partner with IT, HR, Compliance and other teams to embed data protection into operational practices and new projects
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data protection, privacy, compliance or governance role
Previous experience in administration, compliance or risk management with interest in privacy may be considered with on-the-job learning
Strong understanding of global data protection regulations including GDPR
Familiarity with technology and IT security principles
Experience supporting multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong drafting ability with experience preparing guidance, policies or business communications
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
High attention to detail with ability to deliver pragmatic, actionable advice
Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT are highly desirable
Degree in law, business, IT or a related discipline would be an advantage but not essential
