We are seeking an inspiring and confident Structural Engineer who is passionate about civil and structural engineering and eager to take the next step in their career. About the Role

As an Engineer at Sisk, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our projects. You’ll be responsible for managing dimensional controls in line with contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. Your work will ensure precision, quality, and compliance—without compromising design intent or usable space.

You’ll also review construction outputs and plan efficient sequences of operations, providing technical guidance and ensuring control of the works. This role demands a proactive approach to quality assurancetechnical leadership, and site safety, all in accordance with Sisk’s standard procedures and safety policies

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute precise setting-out and dimensional control across the site.
  • Ensure all tolerances are met without compromising quality or floor space.
  • Review construction outputs and plan efficient, controlled sequences of work.
  • Provide technical advice and support to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and documentation.
  • Adhere to company procedures and discharge duties as outlined in the Sisk Safety Statement/Policy.

 

Experience

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in structural and civil engineering, particularly in residential and commercial construction.
  • A confident and proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with site teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in structural or civil engineering.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in Engineering 
  • SMSTS / MSIC 
  • First Aid Course 
  • Lifting Supervisor Certification 
  • Temporary Works 
  • Coordinator trained (TWC) 
  • Chartered or working towards professional status with Engineers Ireland or Institute of Civil Engineers
