We are seeking an inspiring and highly passionate Senior Engineer with a strong background in structural engineering, and proven experience delivering both residential housing and commercial building projects. This is a key leadership role on-site, offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes and mentor engineering teams.

About the Role

As the Senior Engineer, you will act as the lead engineering representative on-site, coordinating closely with your line manager and providing strategic direction across all engineering activities. You will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, temporary works coordination, and ensuring compliance with Sisk’s engineering and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering function on-site, setting strategy and overseeing execution with Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and the wider supply chain.
  • Ensure accurate setting out and control of engineering works in line with project specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Quality Assurance, record keeping, and production control.
  • Establish and maintain Sisk’s quality procedures and ensure full compliance across the project.
  • Take ownership of Temporary Works Control and Coordination, ensuring safe and effective implementation.
  • Where required, actively manage lifting operations in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure engineering excellence and timely delivery.

 

Experience

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in structural engineering within the residential and commercial construction sectors.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage engineering teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with temporary works, lifting operations, and QA procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications in civil or structural engineering.

  • A61 CPCS Lifting 
  • Operations Appointed Persons course 
  • Scaffold awareness/inspection 
  • Planning & programming software
