Overview

 

We are hiring a  Electrical Package Owner for Dublin. The Electrical Package Owner is responsible for the complete lifecycle delivery of the electrical systems on pharmaceutical projects. This includes design review, procurement coordination, installation oversight, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure, ensuring alignment with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), safety, and project delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the subject matter expert and single point of accountability for the electrical scope across design, procurement, construction, and handover phases.
  • Manage all electrical systems packages, including LV/MV/HV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, fire alarm, BMS interfaces, and grounding systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMP, GEP (Good Engineering Practice), and pharmaceutical cleanroom electrical design standards.
  • Liaise closely with HVAC, process, automation, and CSA disciplines to coordinate MEP interfaces, particularly in cleanroom and classified environments.
  • Oversee electrical subcontractors, including installation quality, adherence to schedule, and safety protocols.
  • Support and coordinate FATs, SATs, and IQ/OQ validation activities for electrical systems.
  • Manage vendor deliverables, RFIs, change orders, and punch list resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, ISPE Baseline Guides, GAMP).
  • Ensure proper documentation, including redlines, As-Builts, and turnover packages.
  • Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams and support audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of GMP, GEP, and cleanroom design principles.
  • Experience with electrical systems in critical environments (e.g., clean utilities, process power, classified areas).
  • Familiar with pharmaceutical commissioning and validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics, layout drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and vendor packages.
  • Strong reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  •  
  • Membership of an industry related Professional institution such as CIBSE / CIOB / IEI or equivalent   
  • Project Management 
  • Live Energies / Arc Flash Training. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Has achieved professional accreditation with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineer at MCIBSE level or equivalent.
