Overview

 

The L&D Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development and delivery of learning and development initiatives across Sisk UK. This role ensures that employees at all levels have access to the skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary to meet compliance standards, enhance performance, and support career progression while future proofing the workforce’s capabilities of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, continuing education and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities across various training streams – from H&S to personal effectiveness, management development and functional upskilling programmes
  • Support the Learning & Development Manager with learning related activities, associated with professional memberships, chartership support, and gets involved in creating regular development plans and offering based on employees’ personal development plan objectives.
  • Manage L&D Inbox for any queries received and responding on a timely basis
  • Manage the operations and administration of various learning and development courses, programmes and events, including for Inclusion topics, mainly:
  • Prepare both regular and ad-hoc learning reports for key meetings, tenders and internal analysis purposes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on Sisk’s flagship Leadership and Management development programme and act as a conduit between employees and supplier as necessary
  • Administer funding claims (such as CITB levy)
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Administers relevant communication of L&D offering and leverages LMS increased functionality for maximum employee uptake

Experience

  • Previous experience in an L&D or training coordination role, ideally within construction or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations and health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of training frameworks and CITB funding is desirable.
  • Adopts a continuous improvement mindset in day-to-day operations
  • Relevant qualifications in L&D, HR, or training (e.g., CIPD Level 3 or above) are advantageous.
  • Role models and aligns with Sisk’s values of care, integrity and excellence daily.
