Overview

 

The Social Value Stakeholder Manager will be based on our Derby scheme and will also virtually support our KexGill scheme. The Social Value Stakeholder Manager will lead the implementation of a professional, competent and knowledge sharing social value and stakeholder engagement culture across your projects and frameworks ensuring that best custom and practice are planned, implemented and shared effectively. Be the person that Sisk teams see as a positive value adding and innovative champion for social value and stakeholder excellence.  Site based role with some opportunity for hybrid working on a project-by-project basis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and execute the Stakeholder and Social Value Plans and implement the relevant parts of the Sisk Management System.
  • Develop and update Stakeholder Trackers and Stakeholder Action Trackers.
  • Develop and implement Framework level strategies and documentation.*
  • Be available as necessary to support and carry out stakeholder communications including out of hours cover.
  • Support Regional Social Value and Stakeholder Manager in understanding client requirements.
  • Assume line management responsibility for Advisors and or Apprentices.
  • Attend supplier, client, and project meetings, as necessary.
  • Be the lead contact between client communications and social value teams.
  • Report achievements, outputs, issues, and risks to framework and or projects, using Sisk and client templates / reporting tools within agreed reporting periods.
  • Conduct/support the investigation of query/complaint events and implement controls to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Work with Sisk staff, clients, and suppliers to understand the industry and the business, taking opportunities to learn and improve as they arise.Perform ad hoc duties relating to social value and stakeholder role as required.
  • Be the Sisk lead developing procedures and processes, and sharing knowledge, advice and, best practice in an agreed area of social value or stakeholder management*.
  • Assume the Social Value and Stakeholder Advisor and or Champion responsibilities where necessary.
  • Lead case study production and celebrations of success.
  • Support and share best practice with Work Winning, the wider Social Value and Stakeholder and Sustainability teams as necessary, including contributing to Tender content.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Follow internal assurance process and support external audits.
  • Alert line, project, and framework management
  • Support, deliver and report against social value and stakeholder management requirements.
  • Support, deliver, and report on the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
  • Be aware of any changes to standards and legislation and where applicable recommend changes to systems and processes.

Experience

  • At least 5 years in construction industry (4 in social value / stakeholder role)
  • Full relevant driver’s licence and flexibility to travel where required
  • Effective and confident communicator, both written and oral
  • Good time manager
  • Organisation and record keeping skills

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications/training:

  • Level 4 or equivalent in Communications, Social Value, Project Management, and or similar qualification
  • Actively working towards Level 5 or equivalent in Communications, Social Value, Project Management, and or similar qualification*
  • Working towards professional accrediation in Communications, CSR and or Social Value
