Reporting into the project team you will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project.

This role will be with our Sisk Infrastructure team who tender and deliver some of the most iconic Civil Engineering Projects in Ireland and an opportunity to work on some of these projects from Tender to Completion.

A flexible opportunity to gain further experience in the Civil Engineering construction techniques that are at the heart of Innovation within the project teams.

• Manage design consultants and sub consultants along with design sub-contractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site
• Understand the different Client procurement routes
• Experience of working at pre-construction stage
• Manage design co-ordinators and act as mentor to them for the projects they are involved in
• Input into the Employers Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility
• Implement the Sisk Design Management Procedures and work with the Project Teams and Head Office Support functions to deliver the design requirements on projects
• Actively engage with Employer and their agents on aspects of Design and agreement of the Design to allow to proceed to construction
• Assisting the project team in aspects relating to design and material choices for incorporation into the works
• Implement and lead Value Engineering Practices on project which can lead to Value being generated for projects.
• Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design

• Civil Engineer as a preference with experience in the Design of Civil Engineering Projects
• Project Management Experience a strong advantage
• Designer looking for a flexible site based / office based role with a minimum of 6 years experience in Design / Design Management / Design Co-ordination role
• Understand the different Client procurement routes
• Experience of working at pre-construction stage
• Understanding of D&B contracts
• Commercial awareness
• Be able to use Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint
• Be able to use Common Data Environments, such as Dalux, View Point for Projects (4Projects)
• Be familiar / experienced with Contract Management Software, such as ThinkProject (CEMAR)
• Experienced in TII Standards, Specifications.
• Minimum six years’ construction industry experience
