This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Tax team at Sisk, Ireland’s largest privately owned construction company, where you’ll play a key role in managing our corporation tax compliance across Ireland and other international jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Tax, you’ll lead on all areas of corporation tax, ensuring compliance and effective tax risk management across the Group. You'll also partner with internal and external stakeholders on tax planning, acquisitions, and major international operations.

 

This is a high-impact role suited to someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to shape the future of tax compliance and strategy within a fast-paced, growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review corporation tax calculations and returns, including compliance with Pillar Two requirements
  • Manage timely payment of preliminary tax and balances for all entities
  • Provide support on Transfer Pricing and Inter-Company Pricing
  • Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and global tax authorities
  • Assist with tax planning, budgeting, and due diligence for M&A and joint ventures
  • Advise project, legal, and operations teams on tax implications of contracts and cross-border activities
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on the business
  • Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and internal controls

Experience

What You Bring

 

  • Strong knowledge of Irish and international tax regimes
  • Excellent Excel skills and analytical capabilities
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and solution-driven
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the construction sector is a bonus, not a must

Qualifications

  • CTA qualified and ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
