Overview

 

Site Engineer - Vision Built

This role is based on the west of Ireland

 

Provide site engineering support for project site team. 

 

Reporting Structure 

Reports to Senior Engineer.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Completion of site surveys/level checks  
  • Attend initial site visit and assessment. 
  • Due diligence checks on SI, TOPO, CCTV surveys, etc. 
  • Issue RFI to Client for additional information required. 

Reviews Client Deliverables 

  • Review design drawings 
  • Issue full list of RFIs. 
  • Assists Client and Vision Built designers in completion of civil design
  • Assess existing levels and tie in points and cross-check against proposed FFL. 

Excavation Coordinator 

  • Complete CAT scan survey. 
  • Mark out and identify all existing services. 
  • Complete excavation permits with contractor. 
  • Contact utility providers for as-built information 

Setting out and Surveys 

  • Foundations and plinths in preparation for Modular Installation.  
  • Drainage and underground utilities 
  • Footpaths, fences, completed hard and soft landscaping, etc. 
  • Façade as-built survey prior to application of the cladding system 

Setting Out 

  • Set out foundations. 
  • Check all contractor completed setting out and/or levelling. 

Quality 

  • Ensure Technical Submittals are completed, processed, and approved for all groundworks, concrete works, etc. 
  • Maintenance of Setting Out Equipment Register and ensure certifications and inspections are completed. 
  • Ensure concrete cube sampling is completed, concrete dockets records are stored, and concrete cube register is maintained. 
  • Completion and approval of all Project Inspection and Tests Plans for Civils and Structural works. 
  • Completion and approval of Inspection and Test Records with contractor for all completed works. 
  • Completion of Quality Inductions for all Civils and Structural works. 
  • Witness of air tests for underground drainage. 

Planning 

  • Planning activities of the daily activities of the Civil and Structural contractors 
  • Monitoring resource levels to ensure works are completed on time. 
  • Monitoring and record outputs. 

Meetings 

  • Attend Internal Progress Meeting 
  • Attend Buildability and Premobilisation Meetings 
  • Attend Manufacturing to Site Handover Meetings 
  • Attend Site Manager Meeting

Experience

    • Complete Higher National Diploma/BEng Civil Engineering. 
    • Full and clean drivers licence. 
    • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD. 
    • Strong MS Office Skills. 
    • Ability to understand the dangers of all risks and hazards related to the project, including underground services and the risk control procedures required to manage same. 
    • Good verbal communication skills. 
    • Good written communication skills. 
    • Familiarity with company management system. 
    • Has knowledge and the understanding of design and BIM Process. 
    • Team player and work wells with multiple departments. 
    • Use total stations, dumpy level and laser level. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Training 

    • Complete Higher National Diploma/BEng Civil Engineering.

    • Temporary Works Supervisor Training
