Overview

 

 

The Senior Health and Safety Advisor across Vision Built construction projects in Ireland, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining high standards through supporting of project teams and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Health, Safety and Environmental advice and support to project delivery teams and stakeholders across 2-4 projects.
  • Implementation of the VB OHS and Environmental management system requirements.
  • Attend relevant site meetings including start up meetings, project meetings and supply chain meetings.
  • Review of contractor RAMS, SPAs, supporting plans, permits and training records
  • Carry out audits/inspections of Vision Built projects in line with management system
  • Internal reporting of H&S and Environmental metrics on various systems including Msite, Econoline and Smart waste.
  • Manage training needs of the project team for Health, Safety and including delivery of courses where appropriate.
  • Support the VB Head of Health, Safety and Sustainability in continual improvement of the management systems.
  • Assist tender and prequalification teams where required.
  • Be aware of critical legislative changes and best practices to enable the provision of competent Health, Safety and Environmental advice to the site stakeholders.
  • Incident reporting and investigation

Experience

  • At least 4 years in construction industry
  • At least 4 years as a Health and Safety professional
  • Tech IOSH(*) 
  • Time management  
  • Organisation skills 
  • Interpersonal and engagement skills 
  • Understand performance management 

Qualifications

  • NEBSOH Construction Certificate or equivalent 
  • NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L3 on  
  • Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent 
  • Temporary Works 
  • Internal Auditor 
  • Local PD / CDM & PSDP / PSCS training 
  • Awareness of lifting operations BS 7121/IS361 
  • Temp Works Awareness including knowledge of TWC role 
  • Incident Investigation Training
